Karl joined Vodafone in April 2014 as the Head of HR in Luxembourg to be the HR lead for the Global Supply Chain team. His responsibilities include Talent Management & Organisational Design of Vodafone’s Supply Chain Management across the globe, a population of 1,000+ people in 30 countries. Karl also leads the Luxembourg-based HR team overseeing all HR services for 340 people based in Luxembourg.
Prior to Vodafone, Karl spent 6 years as a partner of a boutique HR consultancy in Melbourne, Australia called Crossroads HR.
“I worked with business owners to figure out who they need, where to find them and how to pay and manage them once they have them in the organisation. Knowing that I have a positive impact on people’s lives, both in business, but also as a by-product in their personal lives is what keeps me passionate about my life’s work!”
Prior to Crossroads HR, Karl was the HR Services Manager at the Australian Wheat Board for 3 years. This was his first HR role.
He also had 10 years of diverse Senior Management experience at Aviva prior to embarking on his second Career in HR.
Karl has British & Australian citizenship. He has a MBA, a Masters Degree from Oxford University & an Advanced Diploma from Cambridge University in Sustainability.
